#BrisbaneAI #DeepLearning #FastAI

Day 1: Brisbane cohort starting the Fast.ai course.

So it’s no secret everyone in the tech space is talking about #MachineLearning #DeepLearning #AI. Some are implementing it better than others. A few are leading the way and pushing boundaries beyond the hype and just delivering solid products.

Reality is, the field is moving that fast, few educators can keep up with the changes, fewer academics are able to update their courses to keep up with the changes. Add the reality this area requires solid software engineering foundations and online MOOCs, user groups and various courses have stepped up to fill the gap.

The BrisbaneAI meetup group ran the first session of fast.ai course in late 2017. The Fast.AI course was created by Jeremy Howard and Rachel Thomas with an objective to increase the pool of software engineers skilled in this new area.

So buckle up and stay tuned. It’s going to be a solid experience.

  1. Setting up servers
  2. Setting up jupyter notebooks
  3. A brief intro to python virtual environments
